Another Knife I Missed At SHOT: Cold Steel’s New Eland Ring-Lock

Okay, maybe not completely new. Cold Steel’s new Eland ring-lock folder does bear a more-than-passing resemblance to their existing Kudu folder, but it is a whole inch longer. And it’s still only $13.

Here’s a video overview of the smaller Kudu:

The 4116-bladed Eland might not be terribly collectible in its own right, but any real knife collector will want at least one African ring-lock in their collection. For a measly thirteen bucks, the Eland will fill that empty slot in your knife drawer.

    • the ring also has use to slip your finger through for knife spinning, and as a sort of pocket clip by hanging the ring out of the top of your pocket. By quickly slipping your finger through the ring you can draw the knife, flip it around once into your hand and snap it open with a flick about as fast as any assisted opener can be deployed.
