SHOT Show Honey-Do List: Any Requests?

By the time you read this your humble correspondent will be wheels-up and headed for Las Vegas and the 2014 SHOT Show. After getting up at zero-dark-thirty and stumbling through the TSA crotch-gropers, I usually try to grab some shuteye on the flight before I take the plunge into a week reporting on guns, knives and gear for TTAK and TTAG.

The show itself starts on Tuesday, but the TTAG crew and I will be spending all of Monday at Media Day At The Range. We’ll hop a bus for Boulder City and spend all day taking notes and shooting pictures. And lots and lots of other people’s ammo. There probably won’t be much in the way of cutlery there, so I’ve got some regular TTAK content scheduled to keep you going until I can hit up the knifemakers on the SHOT Show floor.

I can’t think of a single major knife manufacturer who won’t be there in force, and I’ve already got CRKT, Benchmade, Kershaw and Spyderco (and Mora and Al Mar and….) on my itinerary, but I wanted to know if you had any special requests. Click here for the searchable exhibitor list, and leave a comment if there’s a particular vendor or knife you’d like me to check out. I’m going to be pretty busy (eight to ten miles a day, average) but I’m there to be your eyes and ears.

Where to next?

I’d love to see if Al Mar is showcasing anything new. I’d love to see if Maxpedition is revealing any new knives.

  2. jwm says:

Mora. Havalon. Try not to freeze to death this year on the range. And shoot lots of the free ammo. Lots.

  3. Matt in FL says:

I don’t know enough to ask for anything specific, but I generally like what you do, so…

  4. Mike L says:

I am sure that you will cover the product set just fine. What I would like to read about is the thoughts and feelings expressed about state of the industry, country and leadership of this nation. What are folks saying on the floor and at the bar?

Oh and please can we have a couple of shots of booth babes?

    1. Nathan says:

I agree. There needs to be not only gun babes but also knife babes

  5. Chris Dumm says:

I’ll get Joe Grine on the blade booth babes right away!

  6. Nathan says:

How about some Medford action? Or similar high-end midtechs and customs? Fondle all that you can!

    1. Sam L. says:

      Not including booth babes (DANG!)

  7. Terry Warlock says:

Can you run by the ESEE booth and badger them about the stainless models in limbo for like 2 years 😛
