Boker USA has partnered with maker Sal Manaro to make their new SM-10T tactical knife. This burly knife tips the scales at close to 8 ounces and looks to be incredibly robust. I am not a huge fan of tanto blades, mostly because they are better suited to tactical applications whereas a drop point is more practical for my day to day bushcraft activities. But that does not take away from the awesomness of this knife.
From Boker USA:
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Boker Plus SM-10T
Lakewood, Colorado (May 19, 2014) – Boker USA is pleased to offer the new Boker Plus SM-10T.
The second fixed blade knife from U.S. custom knife maker Sal Manaro is based on a design he developed for a SWAT officer, and is ideal for rough deployments – rugged, strong and reliable. The solid 6.7mm thick construction of 440C stainless steel is practically indestructible. The hollow grind on the tanto style blade ensures superior sharpness and the choil ensures a high degree of solidity.
The grip structure of the G-10 scales, characteristic of Sal Manaro’s designs, gives the knife a reliable and secure grip under all circumstances. Includes lanyard hole and rugged Kydex sheath with belt adapter.
Blade length: 4½”. Overall length: 8¼”. Weight: 7.9 oz. Suggested retail price: $129.95.
