I found the above video on HomesteadNotes.com, a site I have linked to in the past. The title is pretty self-explanatory, but it is a very well done time-lapse of the process of making “poor-man’s Damascus” from a length of steel cable and forging a knife from it.
While the etched pattern of the knife is not as dramatic as my new Kim Breed, it is still a classy touch to a nice looking camp knife.
The video comes from the Green Beetle YouTube Channel. They are an online retailer of camp and trekking gear, including knives.
