Happy Thanksgiving from TTAK

Traffic was pretty light on Thanksgiving last year, and my Questions of the Day slipped under the radar. I asked “what are your thoughts on electric carving knives? and “What is your implement of turkey destruction?” Feel free to read the original post and questions if you wish, and answer here or on the original post.

I don’t have much to say tonight, but I wanted to wish you all a happy Thanksgiving from all of us at TTAK. Stay safe as you carve your turkeys, and please pass along any Black Friday knife deals you find to the truthaboutknives@gmail.com.

The non-time lapse version of the above video with Alton Brown narration and explanation can be found below the jump:

  1. after hearing the conviction in true fishermen’s voices in regards to electric knives, i no longer dismiss them. at this point i would hate to discover that i’ve been missing out. so no powered slicers here.
moms got this old crazy antler handled set of honing steel, two prong fork with the pivoting dew claw around back and an eighteen inch blade with that odd little hump in the edge about two thirds of the way back from the tip. rest that spot on a carcass and have at tit. or thigh.
don’t know if that stuff came over on the boat with her folks or pop’s. i should search the blade for markings. somewhere near wuppertal i reckon.
