Thank you all for making 2015 our best year yet. 1.25 million pages views.

Happy New Year everyone! We are ending 2015 on a high note. This very  afternoon we crossed the 1.25 million page views for the year. Boom! This is more than a 120k bump from 2014. Thank you all for sticking around and helping us hit this milestone.

WordPress put together a 2015 Year in Blogging interactive summary. It is quite interesting, especially the fact that all 5 of our most viewed posts in 2015 were written in previous years. Leading the way is our all time most viewed post as well, Will Woods’ Ask a Knifemaker: The Truth About Damascus.

We have had more than 673k visits from 198 countries with the US, Canada, and the UK leading the way. For comparison, 205 countries participated in the 2012 Summer Olympics, and 88 countries in the 2014 Sochi Winter Games.

We haven’t missed a day since last July, and have made a big effort to up our output, as eclectic as our variety of posts may be. We are glad you like diving down rabbit holes with us. I enjoy bringing you all the content and it has become a bit of a personal narrative for me along the way.

I couldn’t do it without all of the help I get from David in particular. I have enjoyed becoming friends, and he has become a true partner in this endeavor. I would like to thank Will and Nathan for their contributions as well.

I would like to thank Dan and Robert for giving me this opportunity. I would just be another Junior Contributor over at TTAG but instead I have been trusted to handle my own little fiefdom within the Farago empire. The Earl of Bladeland as it were. It has taken me places I would never imagine.

Lastly, a word to our Editor Emeritus, Chris Dumm. I am thankful you trusted me with your baby. TTAK would not be what it has become without the foundation you laid before handing me the reigns.

Have a great New Year folks. Stay safe, and stay sharp.
