Bystanders break up Xmas-Eve fight at Washington mall; one stabbed.

(the video is probably more NSF Children than NSFW. Some language and blood)

The video doesn’t start until police have begun to intervene in the incident, but the incident left one of the bystanders with a stab wound.

Lynnwood Police say a fight broke out around 5 p.m. between the 19-year-old suspected stabber and another teenager near JC Penny. The 30-year-old victim was stabbed once as he tried to break up the fight, police say.

Richard Drake works at the mall and said one of his employees saw the attack.

“She said four people were arguing, a scuffle came about. Somebody says, ‘He’s got a knife’ and something happened,” Drake said. “Somebody was stabbed. Apparently, it took four people to get the person down.”

The victim’s condition is unknown at this time. Best wishes for a speedy recovery. Stepping up to help others is the essence of the Holiday Spirit. It is a shame that this gentleman had to injured in the process. Kudos to him for trying.

Stay safe everyone.
