Crimes with knives up almost 10% in UK as government doubles-down on stupid

Carrying a knife is completely normal behavior. Stabbing someone isn’t.

According to TRTWorld, crimes involving knives is up almost 10% in the UK this year. It seems that being unable to change the culture of random stabbings, the authorities are set to redouble their efforts in 2017 by adding more knife collection bins and cracking down further on knife-possession and retail-sellers.

Actually, carrying a knife is completely normal behavior. It is not “normal behavior” to go around stabbing people, unless you are a member of certain unassimilated minority groups or a drunken yob. Either way, it is the wielder and not the tool that commits the act.

It is both a personal mission as well as the editorial mission of TTAK that the hoplophobes never succeed at “othering” the carrying of knives here in America. Fortunately, the Second Amendment protects knives, and the current political climate at the national level seems to favor that in the near-future. At the state level, we are winning more than we are losing, thanks to the efforts of KnifeRights and others.

It seems that the UK’s march in the opposite direction continues apace.
