New Karambit accessory gives Spyderco Delica defensive-chops.

The Spyderco Delica is one of the most popular EDC designs in that company’s lineup. While an incredibly useful all-around knife, it isn’t known for having much in the way of defensive chops. Until now.

The Wise Men Company has recently introduced what they are calling the Signet Ring, which replaces the Delica’s backspacer, while utilizing the other existing hardware and holes. It converts the modest Delica into a karambit, which is a more defensive-oriented style of knife.

From KnifeNews.com:

Made from 6061 aircraft-grade aluminum, the Signet weighs less than an ounce. The accessory also incorporates a pointed striking surface and adds more than an inch of handle length to the Delica frame.

Brown says the Delica when combined with a Signet offers a single knife solution for utility and self-defense. “The Signet takes it into that defensive role so well,” he tells us. “Most people don’t want to carry a bunch of knives. We’re always looking for a knife that does it all – and the Delica was so close.” News of the Signet follows Spyderco’s own reveal of the new Wharny Delica last month. The excitement both announcements are generating promises that 2017 will be a big year for the EDC staple.

I was already intrigued by the new Wharncliffe Delica that was recently announced, but the Signet Ring might get me to actually buy one. I love wharny blades for EDC, it really is one of my favorite blade shapes.  This is definitely going on my wish list.

Very nice, I wrote to them asking if it will fit my Spyderco Matriarch.

Well pump the brakes there. All the listed pictures showing wear, show the knives being worn the wrong way.(blade facing towards the majority of the pocket instead of the fold). So those waved blades are essentially useless and safety hazards.
