Alleged singer Justin Bieber’s bodyguard allegedly slashes tires of alleged fans’ Uber in Rio (allegedly)

While this is mostly tabloid fodder, it is at least minorly newsworthy as tire-slashing seems to be a favorite tactic of Justin Bieber’s handlers. There was another incident in 2013 where a bodyguard (I don’t know if it was the same one) was caught on video threatening to slash the tires of a gaggle of Australian paparazzi who were hounding the “alleged” singer.

From Daily Mail UK:

Bieber was supposedly in a Range Rover, en route from a gig to the mansion he was renting in the Brazilian metropolis.

When an Uber containing four people – allegedly fans of the Canadian pop-star according to the publication – stopped behind the Range Rover, Bieber’s bodyguard allegedly emerged with a knife.

The Sun has obtained photos that show the bodyguard seeming to advance on a man whose hands are up and who is allegedly the Uber driver, Jorge Luis Belarmino.

Bieber’s bodyguard reportedly kicked the Uber and left a massive dent in it after having allegedly slashed the vehicle’s tires.

Granted gun and self defense laws are different in Brazil, but that is a good way to get yourself shot. Unless the Uber-driver was driving in a way that endangered the passengers in Bieber’s car, there is no justification for brandishing a weapon. That looks like an imminent threat to me, and I would act accordingly.

If Brazilian authorities were willing to create an international incident over a couple of swimmers (allegedly) trashing a bathroom, I hope that they throw the book at the entitled little twerp’s bodyguard.
