Not ready for EDC use: Man creates 72,000 lumen, water-cooled flashlight.

I have been getting more interested in flashlights over the past couple of years, having reviewed the Thrunite Ti-3 & Ti-4. Both of those are great options for EDC carry. The light above, not so much.

The Ti-4 puts out a painfully bright 300 lumens. The light above, by YouTube tinkerer Samm Sheperd, puts out 72,000 lumens (he ups it to 100k for one test), and requires a water-cooling system.

Crazy.

Housekeeping note: Please bear with me as I post a bunch of “quick hits” over the next couple of days. The Knife Madness Tournament left me with a bit of a backlog of material to reblog, and I am going to do my best to get as much of it out as I can.

When you said “the light above”, I thought you were talking about the Moon.
