President Trump participates in traditional Saudi “Sword Dance”

That sword on the Saudi flag is not just for beheading criminals or infidels, it is also a dance-prop.

In an incident that must have had the Secret Service detail requiring oxygen, President Trump waded among a sea of sword-wielding partygoers participating in a traditional Saudi Sword-dance (or Ardah).

Which begs the question, how is it that Knife Rights need to provide a knife check service when His Hairness™ visited the NRA Convention yet the Secret Service is ok with this?

From TheHill:

Secretary of State Rex Tillerson and Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross were spotted linking arms with other Saudi performers during the ceremonial dance. According to videos and reports, Trump joined the dance and was swaying and smiling.

The dance took place outside the King Abdulaziz Historical Center, The Associated Press reported, before a banquet dinner for Trump and Saudi Arabia’s King Salman at Murabba Palace in Riyadh.

The festive gathering was part of the extravagant welcome for Trump, his family and senior administration officials during Trump’s first foreign trip as president.

It is comforting to know that the Saudis are not interested in ushering in the Apocalypse at this point in time. If they had wanted to, there would have been nothing that could have been done to stop it.

David W. recently wrote a piece on the significance of the sword in Islam for those who might have missed it.

Also, for those who don’t mind the dry-cleaning, the Saudis are always looking for executioners.

Because turning Kentucky into a glass bowl is not an option.

Are you kidding?! So you say that the right to keep and bear arms should be subject to a test of the ability of the federal government to turn the arms-bearer’s state of residence to glass?!
