This juxtaposition amused me when it passed across my Facebook feed. War History Online is one of my favorite daily reads. I have shared many of their posts, knife related and not, and they always seem to be well received.
The upper photo is a stern view of the battleship Bismark and the bottom is of Finnish soldiers using a super-sized slingshot to lob hand grenades at Russian troops. Jörg Sprave would approve.
If you look carefully at the small of the man holding the slingshot’s back, you can see the handle of his puukko. That makes this knife-related 🙂
