Nightly Knife Porn: Happy Octoberfest!

By the time this post is live, I will be hanging out in the woods in northern Maryland at Scott Gossman’s annual get together, Gosstoberfest. With a name like that, you know that good beer and shennanigans will ensue. Among other activities, Scott is setting up his Bladesports tables for folks to have a go on, and I hope to get some good action shots of me using the Big Chris Comp Chopper we currently have in our testing lineup. In the meantime, happy Octoberfest to all, and enjoy these photos of suds and sharps!

Appropriate camping fare…

There will be plenty of Sam Octoberfest this weekend. Some cool engraving on this blade.

Best inexpensive beer out there by a country mile!

I still love a nice Sebenza.

But sometimes, cheap is just fine.

More October-y goodness

Can’t leave out my favorite edc, the Axis-lock on a Ritter Mini-Griptilian

Great Eastern deliciousness

Never get tired of Sebbies, but I’m so over IPA’s. Cool label though!

Going to be warmer this weekend than it ought to be. Looks more like summer than early fall 🙁

There’s gold in them there suds…

Ok, enough for tonight. Off to enjoy a nice fire and a brew with some friends!

Have a good weekend folks!

  1. Sam L. says:

I’m disappointed there was no Griesedieck Bros. beer. I remember Dizzy Dean announcing the baseball games and doing the Falstaff commercials and somewhere in there mentioning the family that brewed Falstaff.

  2. cmeat says:

must try and secure six of those “edb’s”
’round these parts we call those pottsville brews “yumyum’s.” cases of that and the black and tan follow us back from our annual pilgrimage to the sandusky coaster park. it is a family tradition to try to be the first to spot “fangboner rd.” yumyum’s are in indiana now, getting closer.
the victorinox opener design is brilliant. these days i just pop ’em open with the slab even if it has an opener.
i don’t yet have a spydie. the endura looks like the one.
i do have a used insingo. strop only.
ipa’s, like retsina wine, are holdovers from a previous necessity. i pursued them relentlessly as a kid. now they make me sneeze.
other than belgian sours (snob) i am always on the lookout for draught wookie jack.
