And the Winner is…

Congrats to Stuart B., the winner of the TTAK Facebook Cover Photo Contest.

The photos are in and the readers have spoken. On your recommendation, and with my concurring opinion Stuart B. has been chosen the contest winner. We appreciate all of the entries, every one of which was better than my pathetic attempt that the winner will be replacing. I really enjoyed seeing so many cool blades from our readers’ collections.

In the end, it was the unique combination of artistry, a knife-porn worthy image, and the incorporation of TTAK into the picture that put Stuart’s entry over the top.

This contest marked my transition into a leadership role at the blog. When I announced it I was unaware that the prize closet was bare, so I am running out in the morning to visit Smoky Mountain Knife Works in Sevierville, TN. Stuart will be receiving a $35 gift certificate to SMKW and my deep thanks for both helping the blog and giving me an excuse to take my three year-old son on a field trip.

  1. Terry Warlock says:

    Congratulations Stuart B.!!!

A trip to SMKW is always fun, I always find something new to fondle (hopefully a line of OTF autos soon 🙂 )

  2. StuartB says:

Aw shucks, I’m honored! Winning is made all the better by the level of the other entries to the competition, that and the prospect of a new blade to add to my collection of pointy stabby things (I will be sure to send you a photo)!

Clay, good luck with the new TTAK gig, seems you’re taking it in a new and interesting direction, keep up the good work!

……… I dont suppose any one wants to buy a second hand keyboard?

  3. Tom in Oregon says:

    Congrats Stuart!
    Very artistic. Great composition.
(I wondered where you got the second T from. That’s funny)

  4. SigGuy says:

Congrats! Out of curiosity what is the blade in that photo?

  5. StuartB says:

Its a Kershaw Scamp 2710ST, I took off the logo (Photoshop) to ensure TTAK maintained its integrity

  6. NavyRetGold says:

That bit about you taking on a leadership position with the blog is an understatement. You seem to be about the only guy holding down the fort lately. And I would add that you have done an admirable job of it. BTW, where did all the rest of the writers go? Should we send out a search and rescue team?

  7. Matt in FL says:

Congrats, Stuart. The sacrifice your keyboard made was well worth it.
