BREAKING: TSA delays “Knives on Planes policy”

In a move which will have no effect on airline safety, the TSA announced Monday that it is delaying implementation of their small knives on planes policy.

I don’t find this particularly surprising, given Government’s tendency towards security theater rather than actual security, but according to a TSA spokesman:

“In order to accommodate further input from the Aviation Security Advisory Committee (ASAC), which includes representatives from the aviation community, passenger advocates, law enforcement experts and other stakeholders, TSA will temporarily delay implementation of changes to the Prohibited Items List, originally scheduled to go into effect April 25.”
