Cornell University Robot Has Knives, Doesn’t Stab Humans

After years of drone strikes and hundreds of humans dead in Afghanistan, it seems someone is finally teaching machines the First Law Of Robotics. Don’t correct me on the distinction between UAVs and robots, because I’m on a roll here. Cornell University researchers are teaching robots (not shown) how not to stab people with kitchen knives.

And it’s about time.

I certainly hope that kitchen knife is a dull plastic fake. Until all robots learn all of Asimov’s Three Laws, we definitely need robot insurance from Old Glory Insurance Company.

    For stabby choppy I am more of a T1000 kind of a guy . . . 🙂

    Didn’t LOOK plastic to me.

Whatever ya do don’t give that robot a gun, specially not an assault weapon
