From the Onion: Jim Beam introduces new whiskey blend for knife/gunshot wounds

When “America’s Finest Newsource” isn’t shilling for the political left, it can still be quite amusing. I saw this video (below) with just enough time to sneak it in for a last minute Sunday Funny. With boutique distilling all the rage, it was only a matter of time until someone came up with this…

Remember, it is good for those cuts you get when you grab a blade to keep it from piercing your heart…

The image at the top comes from the blog The Bourbon Crusaders. As I have mentioned before, my palate tends to favor gnarly, peaty, Islay Scots Whisky over American corn-mash, but I found myself sucked into what is an incredibly detailed blog on bourbon (with some great photography as well) for the better part of a half hour. I gave them a follow on Twitter (@bourboncrusade) as well. Check them out if you are so inclined.

  1. Sam L. says:

    Yup, that’s kinda amusing.

  2. cmeat says:

there’s also a new beam wry, for those with a dry sense of humor.

precisely for the two reasons that it was an islay and it was at sam’s club, i picked up a bottle of ardbeg.
it is going down. although at the moment i am on the “city of new orleans” south bound and down while sipping some anejo. amtrack lets you bring pretty much whatever although firearms must be checked, and knives are frowned upon for carry.
please do a post in regards to these policies. it would be nice if the railway would define permissable carry blades.
