Knife Stories: 127 Hours

127 Hours is based on the true story of Aron Ralston, who used a bladed multi-tool to amputate his crushed and trapped right arm. This is definitely the most wrenching, grisly knife story ever put on film.

Would I have the guts to do what Ralston did? I sure hope I never have to find out.

  1. Aharon says:

This is why I placed an order last night for a Condor Barong Machete. If my arm or leg ever gets caught up along a big rock I can pull out the 14″ blade and quickly lop off my jammed body part. I don’t want to saw myself apart that would be gross. BTW, I’m eating my lunch right now so I skipped the video.

If your plan includes getting trapped under a rock, you might want to pick up an emergency GPS locator instead.

  2. CrankyBuddha says:

I had the chance to hear Aron speak in Denver a few weeks ago. This is an amazing story and an amazing person. I’m going to buy the book and read it as well.

He said that after this he never carried a cheap knock off multi-tool again.

  3. Ken says:

I too got to hear him speak at a conference in SF. Really inspirational talk about always moving forward in life instead of brooding on loss. He fully acknowledges that heading off alone and underprepared was a stupid move.
