Obscure Object Of Desire? Maybe Not The Sanjia K8009

The Sanjia K8009 is definitely not like any of the knives you already know and rely on. The blade is Mystery Metal, and the opening mechanism is somewhere between a ‘folder’ and a Transformer. It’s also got way too many moving parts to be taken seriously, and check out that big slot down the middle of the blade. Now imagine it full of summer sausage and Monterey Jack cheese…

When I saw a picture of this knife I was intrigued too. I almost took the plunge and ordered one. And why not? They’re barely $15 each including shipping.

Here’s why not.

And if SkallagrimNilsson’s review isn’t enough to make you put away your wallet, most of the sites that sell the Sanjia K8009 are shady dealers with dismal reputations like Alibaba and Aliexpress.

Be afraid. Be very afraid.

    “Craptastic” has just been redefined!

  2. Daniel says:

An interesting if highly flawed design. Something that you would see in a novelty shop next to fantasy knives.

It’s actually kind of interesting to me. I mean, it’d end up in a drawer, forgotten, but it’s different, and it’s better than I expected based on the price.
