Safety Tip: Don’t Touch Anyone Else’s Mac and Cheese

We’re guessing Randy Zipperer (really) had a bad week. According to, he was in serious need of some comfort food therapy Friday and couldn’t find his macaroni and cheese. You know how it is when you get your mouth all set for something…and then life intervenes? It’s such a let-down. Anyway, his brother Edward, who lives with him, tried to give him a hand looking for it, but ended up…spilling Randy’s beer. Being not only hungry, but also thirsty, Randy didn’t take that much adversity well. At all . . .

The elder brother got a knife from the kitchen and began swinging it at his younger brother sometime before 10 p.m.

Deputies discovered blood in the house and found a six-inch kitchen knife with what looked like dried blood on the tip.

Randy Zipperer apologized after deputies arrived. He said he accidentally “poked him a little with the knife,” the report added.

Is there more to this story? Could Edward have been the one to bogarted Randy’s mac and cheese? We may never know. But Randy was apparently fond of resorting to a little blade play when he got angry. Or into his cups. Or both.

…a witness told deputies the older sibling regularly pulls out knives during arguments.

Fortunately, Edward wasn’t seriously hurt. Randy’s been charged with aggravated battery and obstructing an officer without violence. Edward may want to think about finding a new roommate.
