You would imagine that this would be all over the news. “If it bleeds, it leads” as they say. There must be a reason that Breitbart is the only national outlet that has covered this story. At least it made the local news.
From Chicago Tribune:
Police say the six victims were found throughout the home around 1:05 p.m. after a co-worker of a man who lived there called 911, police said. The victims appeared to have been stabbed, but police were waiting for autopsies.
The co-worker told police the man had not shown up for work Wednesday or Thursday, interim police Superintendent John Escalante said at a news conference near the home. From outside, an officer saw “what they believed to be a body” inside on the floor, he said. The officers entered and discovered the bodies in different locations in the home.

I was going to say it was a good thing that there were no firearms involved, or someone might have been hurt. However, according to the Medical Examiner one of the victims had multiple gunshot wounds despite an earlier police statement that there was no sign of gunfire in the house. The others, including two children ages 10 and 13 died of “sharp-force trauma” and “blunt-force trauma”. The killers were not too particular in their choice of tool.
From the Chicago Tribune (different article):
The older man and the children died from “multiple sharp-force injuries,” according to the medical examiner’s office. The older woman died from “multiple sharp- and blunt-force injuries,” while the younger man died from “multiple blunt- and multiple sharp-force injuries,” according to the office. The middle-aged woman died from “multiple gunshot wounds.”
The fact that one person died from gunshots does not change the point I want to make. This spree killing does not fit the narrative that the civilian disarmament complex wants to put forward. It doesn’t further the gun-control agenda so it will remain a local story. Just more Chicago violence statistics. Move along, nothing to see here.
I actually missed another mass stabbing in December. Eight people were wounded, 2 critically, in a gang-related street fight in Anaheim, CA. It never made it farther than the LA Times. I guess all lives don’t matter after all.
