UPDATE: The full review of this knife is now online here.
As I’ve mentioned in the past, I always carry a multi-tool along with my main folding knife. Currently getting some pocket time is the Victorinox Compact. Swiss Army Knives are known for cramming a ton of tools into a very small package, but the Compact really takes it to another level…
At only two layers thick, the Victorinox Compact is currently the thinnest 91mm Swiss Army Knife you can get that comes with a pair of scissors. In addition to the main blade, it also features a Combo Tool, which functions as both a can opener, bottle opener, flathead screwdriver and wire stripper. On the opposite side is a parcel hook and a corkscrew. Nestling inside the corkscrew is a mini-flathead screwdriver for those extra tiny screws!
Where the Compact gets really interesting is its scales. This model boasts Victorinox’s “Plus Scales”. In addition to the ubiquitous toothpick and tweezers, the Plus Scales also contain a small straight pin, and a ball-point pen.
I’m looking forward to testing this one out. If you want to know anything about the knife, let us know in the comments and I will try to address your questions in the review to come.
