Sometimes my Nightly Knife Porn posts will have a theme, like last night and the eclipse. Or there will be a common thread of makers who have participated in 5 from the Grinder. Or like tonight, there will be no organizing principle beyond “Hey. That looks cool”.

Turns out the guy who runs GillieLeather is a high school friend of my Brother-in-law up in Ohio. Small world. He makes great bags and sheaths.
Jim Cooper/Sharp by Coop is one of the most highly regarded knife photographers in the business. Here is a shot he did for Brian Tighe.
Glue up isn’t glamorous, but it can still look cool:

I love the burlap micarta and contrasting liners:
Nice filework:
That’s all for tonight. If there is a maker or account that you would like us to check out, drop me a line at thetruthaboutknives@gmail.com.
Have a great evening folks.
The knives are beautiful, of course, but I’ve always had a fascination with the tomahawk peace pipes. Maybe it’s the possibility of either fighting or being mellow or the adaptation of an tool into a weapon of war and back into an instrument of peace, but they amuse me greatly.
Going to a tomahawk making class soon and will see what I can do…
Gorgeous knives! The Tighe knives are amazing, but I feel hot spots in my hand just looking at them.
